As a Software Engineer Sr within PNC's Lending Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deliver scalable, highquality applications using modern Java-based technologies. This role focuses on developing microservices, integrating enterprise platforms, and contributing to a collaborative Agile environment. Responsibilities will include:
Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Building and supporting microservices-based architectures that are scalable, resilient, and loosely coupled
Developing and integrating RESTful APIs for internal and external systems
Collaborating with cross-functional teams within Agile frameworks to deliver high-quality solutions
Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
Managing source control and code quality using tools such as Bitbucket and automated pipelines
Utilizing build tools like Maven or Gradle for dependency management and application packaging
Troubleshooting and optimizing applications using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace
Integrating with API management and gateway solutions including Apigee and DataPower
Working with relational and non-relational databases to design efficient data models and queries
Participating in code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
