Location: Ada, MI (Onsite)

What do we need:

Ready to build the "Invisible Integration" backbone for a global ecosystem? We’re looking for a powerhouse engineer who is equal parts coder, architect, and DevOps champion. Reporting to our Manager of Enterprise Integrations, you’ll be the driving force behind turning legacy platforms into hyper-scalable, cloud-native marvels.

This isn't just a high-level strategy role; you’ll be in the trenches—spending 50%+ of your time on hands-on execution—while also mentoring global teams in India and Malaysia. We value "pioneering innovation," which means we want someone who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo or tackle difficult business problems with courage. If you’re a results-oriented pro who thrives on diversity, mutual respect, and building high-visibility solutions for 100+ countries, we want to talk.

The Logistics: We’re big on work-life balance, but we do need you to jump on early or late calls occasionally to sync with our global hubs.

  • Growth: This is a high-visibility role designed to be a springboard for your leadership career.

What to expect in your first 90 days:

  • Day 30: Familiarize yourself with our multi-cloud environment (GCP, AWS) and begin contributing to current legacy transformation efforts, specifically auditing EKS usage as we move toward Cloud Run.
  • Day 60: Lead the modernization of a legacy integration flow while establishing architectural guardrails and leading the development of our AI-assisted automated testing framework.
  • Day 90: Demonstrate immediate exceptional performance by influencing cross-team adoption of automated CI/CD, monitoring solutions, and AI-augmented quality standards.

Note: Amway does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. Do not apply for this role if you will need Amway immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT, TN, etc.) now or in the future.

Required qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of high-scale enterprise software development experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a similar discipline
  • Senior-level proficiency in the following:
    • Java or Python and hands-on expertise with Apache Camel, Apache Airflow, and Apigee X.
    •  Data Streaming Platforms (Kafka) and the ability to apply streaming patterns to solve distributed systems challenges.
    • Designing, building, and monitoring systems within cloud platforms like GCP or AWS. Proficiency in Cloud Run and cloud networking components is essential.
  • Experience using AI to assist in the development process
  • Certifications: Any recognized Cloud Architect or DevOps certifications are considered a plus.

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • Full-Cycle Execution: You naturally identify manual friction and build automated, mistake-proofed solutions using CI/CD pipelines and configuration management.
  • Collaboration: Talent to collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to bring projects to completion. Public speaking skills are required to align technical architecture with global business value.
  • Architectural Governance: You lead through technical aptitude and data, translating complex integration patterns into risk reduction and continuous spend optimization.
  • Global Influence: You communicate honestly, directly, and with empathy. You foster trust through active listening and take an empathetic approach to peer progression, recognizing that all people deserve an opportunity to achieve their full potential.
  • AI-Augmented Productivity: You possess the proficiency to use AI tools as a standard daily resource to accelerate development, improve code quality, and automate routine tasks.
  • Technical Versatility: You have the grit to pick up new frameworks like React to enhance developer self-service platforms when the mission requires full-stack agility.

What’s special about this team:

This team highly favors the Wingman Protocol; each of our team members can step in to handle any part of the process. We believe our success is connected and we serve the needs of our global partners because we know we are better together. We put the communities we serve first, building trust and collaboration through a You First, Me Second mindset. We trust and respect each other, recognizing the complementary skills necessary to achieve shared success. Our primary metric is team anti-fragility: the ability to operate at 100% efficiency even when any one member is offline. We prioritize a 100% T-shaped skill distribution and shared accountability, where we hold ourselves and each other to high standards while taking responsibility for our mistakes.
