Job description

CarlinVision is a growing comprehensive Ophthalmology practice, seeking an energetic, ambitious, customer focused Ophthalmic Technician. CarlinVision seeks an individual who works well in a team setting and can also work independently. No experience is necessary, will train.
Looking for a career minded individual. We encourage professional growth and assist in ophthalmic certifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtaining and documenting patient history
  • Preliminary work-up: history, chief complaint, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil reactions, scope of vision, color vision and muscle movement.
  • Determining visual acuity
  • Performing automated refraction
  • Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
  • Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR
  • Assist physician in minor office surgery.
  • Providing patient services
  • Maintaining equipment and instruments
  • Return and answer patient phone calls as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited high school
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
