Job description

Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts - 5:45am-6pm
Compensation: 20.50 per hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Confers with management, supervisors and Team Members to gain knowledge of work
situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures,
regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
• Coordinates training schedule with the hiring and training demands of all shifts.
• Conducts daily classroom testing, video and hands-on forklift driving evaluations.
• Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as refresher and annual training
requirements - i.e. SHARP (Ship, Handle and Receive Properly), Batch Control, SAM (super
absorbent material) Hazards, LOTO, Battery Changing Procedures, and forklift
recertification.
• Conducts group and/or one-on-one training sessions, as needed.
• Evaluates trainees to measure progress and effectiveness of training.
• Completes training reports on trainees.
• Counsels Team Members with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related
to forklift operation.
• Creates and updates training manuals and agendas.
• Confers with management to develop training materials.
• Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of all training programs.
• Makes suggestions on improving work procedures.
• Operates a lift truck performing various material handling duties in the facility as requested
by Operations Manager of Shift Supervisor.
• Performs all essential functions of Material Handler position.
• Reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or needed

• Attendance - Ability to work required schedule and arrive at work on time. Ability to move
across all shifts as needed. Ability and willingness to work the voluntary/mandatory
overtime that is required during all busy seasons.
• Communication - Ability to effectively communicate (in writing and verbally) in a
courteous and professional manner with others. Ability to understand and follow verbal
and written instruction.
• Mathematics- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and
division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to
compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
• Language - Ability to identify and compare letters and numbers. Ability to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and
procedure manuals. Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively before groups of Team Members or customers of the Company.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year related experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment
preferred. At least 80% cross-trained in all material handling functions preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; hand-held radio skills.
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver's License; Forklift Certification.
