Job description

AAA Technology is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Mill & Lathe Machinist to set up and operate manual milling machines and lathes to shape metal components precisely according to engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will ensure quality and accuracy while adhering strictly to safety protocols in a full-time manufacturing role.

  • Operate Machinery: Set up, adjust, and operate a manual Mill, a manual Lathe and a manual Drill Press.
  • Reading Drawing: Must be capable of interpreting fabrication drawings and machining requirements.
  • Quality Control: Must be capable of utilizing precision measuring tools and gages to inspect parts and verify accuracy.
  • Component Fabrication: Custom parts formed and machined according to fabrication drawings.
  • Material Handling: Load, position, and secure metal components safely.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on lathe and mill.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience operating a manual mill and a manual lathe.
  • Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Basic math and geometry skills required.  Must be capable of adding & subtracting feet, inches & fractions.
  • Precision: Proficiency with inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, templates, and radius gages.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to workshop safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in bandsaw operation
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; any advanced education is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while adhering strictly to safety protocols and quality standards.

AAA Technology is a Houston-based manufacturer of pipe supports for the process industry. We service mostly the north American market providing quality pipe supports to companies in the petrochemical, oil, gas, power, space exploration, pulp and paper and related industries. Most of the manufacturing is steel fabrication involving sawing, shearing, burning, punching, drilling, bending, forming, welding, sand blasting, painting etc., but we also manufacture LNG Supports as well as low friction slide bearings and non-metallic, corrosion resistant pipe supports. We pride ourselves in creative designs and quality manufacturing with reasonable prices.
