Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklift equipment to move, load, unload, and stack materials and products within the warehouse or manufacturing facility. This role ensures efficient material handling, supports production and shipping operations, and maintains a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift trucks to transport materials, products, and equipment to designated locations.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets safely and efficiently.
  • Stack and organize materials in storage areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
  • Inspect forklifts daily and perform basic maintenance checks.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory management as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding material needs and status.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
