Job Title: Plant General / Machine Operator

Location: Niagara Falls, NY 14304

Duration: 6+ months

Shift: 7am -7pm


Qualifications:

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience in a light manufacturing environment preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Familiarity with safety in manufacturing, including OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with hazardous materials.
  • Willingness to work overtime or short-notice shifts as needed.


Certifications

Valid Forklift License preferred (or ability to obtain required).


Responsibilities:

  • We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused Plant Operator to support manufacturing operations across our facility. This role is essential to ensuring efficient production, consistent product quality, and a safe working environment. You'll work with a wide range of equipment and processes, perform inspections, collect data, and help keep our plant running smoothly.
  • This is a hands-on position in a dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to various production areas including mixing, extrusion, crushing, kilns, dryers, mills, and more.


Work Schedule

  • Typically 36โ€“48 hours per week
  • Must be flexible to work 8-hour or 12-hour shifts
  • Rotating shifts include days, afternoons, nights, and weekends
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs; schedules are subject to change

What You'll Do

  • Production & Operations
  • Operate plant equipment efficiently to support manufacturing processes.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and production work orders.
  • Perform quality checks, collect samples, and record accurate production data.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as needed. Perform minor equipment repairs.
  • Follow all safety policies, including proper PPE use and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Participate in safety audits, SMATs, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO14001, ISO9001, TQM principles, and environmental regulations.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
  • Support general plant cleaning, restocking, and waste disposal.
  • Operate forklifts safely.
  • Work collaboratively with production team members, plant staff, and management.
  • Assist with general production tasks as assigned.
