Job description

Overview:

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in the production area to produce the oral delivery pouches. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and adherence to safety protocols. You will work closely with production teams to ensure efficient and accurate efficiency. should pay meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to troubleshoot minor problems. Ultimately, a top-notch machine operator should be a solution-driven individual who can carry out that the final product is in customer specifications before it goes to the next stage.


Schedule: Monday thru Friday

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm or 4:00pm-12:30am

Pay: 1st: $17.00-$19.00 2nd $20.00-$23.00


Responsibilities:

· Operate the pouch making equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

· Tends machine that fills pucks with oral delivery pouches and seals lids on pucks.

· Presses buttons to start or stop machine.

· Observes operation of machine for malfunctions and to determine if pucks with correct count and sealed according to specifications.

· Must fill the hopper with product from the blending room

· Must fill the hopper of machine with lids.

· Must weigh random sample of filled pucks to determine if weight specifications are met.

· Must weigh random samples of oral delivery pouches to determine if weight specifications are met.

· Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.

· Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

· Train new employees on procedures and safety protocols as needed.

· Safely oversee hazardous materials following standard operating procedures.

· Perform light machine maintenance.

· Perform machine and area cleaning as described in work instructions.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.


Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred.

· Possess basic computer skills and the ability to perform floor transactions in the production management system.

· Proven experience as a machine operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

· Strong understanding of form filling equipment operation and maintenance. A plus but not required.

· Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as SOPs and equipment manuals.

· Excellent diligence and precision in measuring and operating the equipment.

· Basic math skills for calculating weights and measurements.

· Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
