Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 Years of progressive experience as an overall machinist operator
  • 3-5 Years of experience operating a mill and lathe performing lathe and milling machining operations to exacting specifications, working from blueprints, engineering diagrams, part lists and schedules.
  • High School Diploma (Associates Preferred)
  • Able to work 40 hours a week
  • This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform lathe and milling machining operations using blueprints and related diagrams.
2. Use grinders, metal saws and general machine shop equipment.
3. Perform quality checks and quality control on your own work, and that of others using appropriate instruments (micrometers, etc.).
4. Update drawings (mark prints, etc.) when identifying corrections from issued blueprints.
5. Interact with and provide feedback to engineering department personnel on design or updates.
6. Develop basic system skills in MRP and for checking parts in engineering software programs (Anvil/SolidWorks).
7. Participate in a Process of Ongoing Improvement. Identify areas or processes that help improve the operation of the Machine Shop and the Companys responsiveness to customers.
8. Adhere to and implement the ISO QMS.
9. Adhere to and follow Company policies and safety regulations.
10. Perform QA functions and other duties as assigned.
11. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
12. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
13. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
14. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
15. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
16. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
17. Train and assist other employees in the Company.
18. Perform related duties as assigned.
