Job description

Overview
The Business Systems Manager (Operations) is responsible for end-to-end ownership of operations-related business processes and system outcomes, serving as the bridge between business functions and technology delivery. This role ensures that operational capabilities are aligned to business needs, requirements are clearly defined and prioritized, and delivered solutions are usable, efficient, and adopted across the organization. The BSM plays a critical role in the success of operations systems initiatives by driving business process clarity, requirements quality, and user adoption. This position operates within the broader program structure, partnering closely with the Program Manager, Enterprise Systems Manager, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Own operations-related business processes end-to-end, define target-state workflows, and drive standardization, automation, and cross-functional consistency.
  • Gather, refine, and translate business needs into clear requirements, while prioritizing work based on business value, dependencies, and program timelines.
  • Maintain and manage the enhancement and transformation backlog as the business lead for operations workstreams.
  • Support discovery and solution design through requirements definition, vendor evaluation, and participation in key planning activities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT by facilitating workshops, driving alignment, and ensuring accountability for system outcomes.
  • Drive user adoption and operational readiness through training, documentation, change management, and post-implementation feedback.
  • Ensure operations processes produce accurate, reliable data and partner with data and integration resources to define requirements, support reporting, and advance governance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Condition and Environment
  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk.

Expected Hours of Work
  • Normal office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday
  • Due to global nature of the company and scope of the role, duties may require being available periodically outside of normal working hours
