Senior Supply Planner, Data Analytics
Seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Supply Planner to drive data-driven supply planning, delivery scheduling, inventory optimization, and manufacturing performance analysis across a complex, multi-level manufacturing environment. This role combines advanced analytics, supply chain planning expertise, and business partnership to improve service, optimize inventory, and enhance decision-making across operations, manufacturing, business units, and executive leadership.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building sophisticated planning models, analyzing large datasets, developing executive dashboards, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders. This individual will serve as the analytical engine behind supply planning decisions and will develop scalable solutions that improve forecasting accuracy, supply allocation, production scheduling, and customer delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Delivery Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term supply plans.
  • Generate delivery schedules for customer shipments based on supply constraints, manufacturing capacity, and inventory availability.
  • Translate manufacturing output forecasts into customer delivery commitments.
  • Develop and maintain supply allocation models during constrained situations.
  • Analyze inventory positioning and recommend buffer strategies.
  • Support S&OP and weekly supply reviews with scenario analysis.

Advanced Analytics & Modeling
  • Build predictive and prescriptive models to improve planning decisions.
  • Develop supply-demand balancing tools and optimization models.
  • Analyze manufacturing cycle times, WIP flow, yield performance, and bottlenecks.
  • Create methodologies to estimate projected shipments from in-process inventory.
  • Develop statistical models for forecast accuracy, supply risks, and inventory optimization.
  • Design and maintain data models supporting delivery scheduling and capacity planning.

Reporting & Dashboard Development
  • Build automated dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar analytical tools.
  • Create executive-level KPI reporting and operational performance scorecards.
  • Monitor supply chain health metrics including: service levels, on-time delivery, backlog, inventory turns, capacity utilization, material shortages, forecast accuracy, and manufacturing cycle time.
  • Develop exception reporting systems to identify emerging risks.

Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, demand planning, procurement, finance, and business units.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
  • Present recommendations to senior leadership using data-driven insights.
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly supply review meetings.
  • Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Systems & Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual planning activities.
  • Develop Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, or ERP-based planning solutions.
  • Partner with IT teams on planning system enhancements.
  • Improve data quality, governance, and planning processes.
  • Support ERP and planning system implementations.

Required Qualifications
  • US citizen and ability to hold a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • SQL proficiency
  • Power BI or Tableau expertise.
  • Experience with Python or R for analytics.
  • ERP experience (SAP preferred).
  • Strong statistical analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with forecasting methodologies, inventory optimization, supply-demand balancing, capacity planning, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing experience.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP).
  • Experience with multi-level BOM environments.
  • Experience with constrained supply allocation.
  • Knowledge of S&OP and Integrated Business Planning.
  • Familiarity with optimization techniques and operations research.
  • Experience building planning tools from large transactional datasets.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $109,600 to $150,700.
