Job description

Radiance Technologies is a 100% employee-owned company known for a workplace culture that values innovation, collaboration, and empowerment. We offer benefits that are second to none-full health, dental, vision, and life insurance, a generous 401(k), educational reimbursement, competitive salaries, and an engaging, team-driven environment where you can thrive.

We're currently seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our Enhanced Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. You'll work alongside a diverse group of software engineers and data scientists in support of the Joint Warfare Analysis Center and other Department of Defense and Intelligence Community stakeholders.

What You'll Do

As an Operations Research Analyst, you'll tackle complex decision-making challenges using scientific methods like mathematical modeling, statistics, and algorithm design. Your work will directly impact the performance and effectiveness of military operations through deep analysis, simulation, and optimization.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Designing and executing simulation experiments that minimize compute time and maximize actionable insights
  • Applying Monte Carlo methods, statistical techniques, and operational research tools to real-world scenarios
  • Modeling systems and operations using Python, R, VBA, or MATLAB (preferred)
  • Defining data requirements, analyzing datasets, and building recommendations to inform key strategic decisions
  • Validating models and evaluating their effectiveness, adapting as needed to meet evolving goals
  • Developing and applying tools such as PERT networks to plan and manage large-scale projects
  • Creating detailed, insightful reports and visualizations for leadership and stakeholders
  • Collaborating with engineers, scientists, and management across domains including defense, energy, health, transportation, and more

Essential Skills and Responsibilities

  • Expertise in designing multi-process analysis campaigns and simulation experiments
  • Experience using professional concepts to shape company strategies and solutions
  • Ability to independently analyze and interpret complex systems and datasets
  • Strong communication skills to present technical findings clearly and effectively
  • Experience evaluating test results and identifying key system performance indicators
  • Capacity to work through ambiguity, design experiments with limited data, and reduce concept uncertainty
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to translate business needs into actionable analytical models

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in operations research, data analysis, or mathematical modeling
  • Master's degree in Operations Research or a related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, engineering, or computer science)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Desired Experience

  • Prior work with advanced military concepts and technology development
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Familiarity with simulation environments and experimental design best practices

Why Radiance?
At Radiance Technologies, you won't just be another cog in the machine-you'll be a key contributor to projects that matter, surrounded by people who are passionate about their work and invested in your success.

Radiance Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
