Job description

Application deadline: October 14, 2026. Candidates will be interviewed in October and November.
Overview
Health Advances offers a specialized summer internship program, which is an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking to combine their business interests with a passion for healthcare. An analyst intern will spend 8 weeks gaining exposure to a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a unique opportunity to work with case teams, contribute to the strategic process, and learn about the culture of Health Advances. Interns gain exposure to a broad range of healthcare sectors, including biotech, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, precision medicine, medical technology, digital health, healthcare IT, and healthcare investing.
Through project work, research, and mentorship, interns develop analytical, business, and communication skills while helping clients address some of the most important strategic challenges in healthcare. At Health Advances, interns are treated as valued members of their project teams. You will contribute to real client work, develop consulting skills, build meaningful relationships across the firm, and gain firsthand experience solving complex challenges across the healthcare industry.
Health Advances tailors its intern program to suit the background of the individual. Analyst interns work with the intern advisors prior to arrival to offer input on individual goals and to determine preferred subject matter. Each intern is paired with both a peer "buddy" and a dedicated mentor who provide guidance, feedback, and support throughout the program.
All interviews are case-oriented and provide the opportunity to work through actual examples of our projects. High-performing interns are strongly considered for full-time Analyst positions following graduation.
Analyst Internship Highlights
  • Work with client project teams and participate in all team meetings ranging from initial brainstorming through final presentation
  • Undergo 2 weeks of our award-winning training program, which includes extensive modules, industry overviews, and practice assignments

  • Conduct clinical, scientific, competitive, and market research to support client recommendations
  • Contribute analyses, insights, and content for client presentations and recommendations
  • Own an internal project selected by the Management Team to give you the opportunity to apply your training to a specific topic and present to the office at the conclusion of the internship
  • Learn how to balance time effectively as you participate in training modules, a client project, and an intern project
  • Attend committee meetings which relate to specified interest areas
  • Network within the firm and get to know more about Health Advances business and culture
