Job description

Position Summary
*Position is Located in Stillwater, OK

Purpose of the Job

The Program Manager - Space and Defense is the primary point of contact between the customer and ASCO.  The program manager is responsible for contract administration and application within ASCO's space and defense portfolio.

The Program Manager maintains oversight of assigned programs to track quality, delivery, engineering, and costs, and ensure on-time delivery and other customer satisfaction objectives are achieved including but not limited to full compliance with ITAR/EAR export regulations.  This requires regular interactions with personnel in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Compliance, and Quality to obtain and relay information about customer orders. 

This position requires professional and courteous interaction directly (via phone, email, and in-person) with customers to provide information, promptly respond to customer inquiries, and resolve disputes as needed.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and Ensure Customer Satisfaction
    To ensure Asco is working towards high level of Customer satisfaction and to act as a single point of contact, position will:
  • Consolidate and develop relationship with new and existing customers.
  • Monitor OTD KPI (internally and customer)
  • Report and challenge KPI;  escalate to Operations Organization and Management Committee, if required
  • Stay informed of and transmit customer complaints to quality department (and to the Delivery Coordinator if relevant) for corrective action plan
  • Maintain communication and act as escalation level with the customer on all program related issues in close collaboration with the Delivery Coordinator
  • Prepare the sales budget and MTP exercise
  • Be responsible for the COM system Data accuracy
    • Manage customer purchase orders in customer portal and maintain purchase orders and forecast in Mapics
  1. Contract Management

Ensure the application of contract rules and contract obligations in order to manage the customer relationship, by:

  • Managing purchase orders
  • Managing technical or other contractual changes (including Transfer of Work) with the organization and with the customers
  • Managing Accounts Receivables (RC and NRC)
  • Preparing and presenting program reviews
  • Ensuring the definition of all contractual required actions/steps at contract end.
  1. Commercial Management
  • Assist in Contract Review and Administration of New Business by participating in order to maximize contracts acquisition
  • Assist in its Business Retention activities to maximize contracts retention (follow-on contracts / contract renewal).
  1. Support in the bidding process
  • Assist in the bidding process, as assigned, in order to guarantee offers made per customer requirements.
  1. Compliance & Export Control (ITAR/EAR)
  • Ensure all program activities adhere to ITAR and EAR requirements, including proper handling of technical data, communications, and production parts.
  • Coordinate with the ASCO compliance manager to verify classifications, licensing needs, and end-use controls (as needed).

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:  Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Business, Finance or relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience required.

Skills / Experience: 

  • 2 years' aerospace or manufacturing experience required
  • Space and defense experience and export regulation understanding is a preferred
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English required)
  • Flexible, open, respectful and loyal individual with strong team spirit
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Independent and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Takes initiative and is pro-active
  • Willingness to travel as needed/when required
  • U.S. Citizenship required (due to ITAR-regulated work).
