Job description

Job Description In Precision Guided Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line, we design and manufacture state-of-the-art sensors and guidance kits that enable our customers to execute their precision strike missions. Our team is currently looking for an Operations Program Manager (OPM II) for the APKWS Production Program. The APKWS Production Program is responsible for over $250M in annual sales revenue. The APKWS production factory is in Hudson, NH and will be undergoing a significant increase in production rate next year. This high visibility position will be responsible for production execution of the APKWS Program in NH, as well as managing our CCA feeder factory out of Austin, TX. This position is the Cost Account Manager responsible for all Operations budgets and is accountable for achieving the contractual deliveries for the budgets baselined. The leader is expected to demonstrate total ownership of the program, and to be a strategic influencer within the PGSS PL and PS BA community. The position will direct report to the APKWS Product Stream Manager.
* Looking for a strong Operations Program Manager with an engineering and manufacturing background to lead the operations team and be the main interface between the operations, program office, design engineering, NPI and supply chain.
* Experience working on development projects with a focus on cost avoidance and Design for Unit Production costs.
* Experience developing competitive, compliant, and accurate proposals.
* Cost Account Manager for Operations on the program. Manages Operations performance against the baseline by monitoring cost, quality and schedule performance.
* Provides leadership consistent with the Mission and BAE Systems Guiding Principles.
* Promotes a strong sense of teamwork among personnel supporting various phases of the program efforts.
* Performs other related duties as required. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical field and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
* Ability to lead in a cross-functional team environment, with a customer-focused approach, and an aptitude for continuous improvement in serving internal and external customers
* Understanding of Lean and Six-Sigma principles
* Diplomatic, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage and report status of projects within a project management discipline
* Ability to provide strategic contributions while successfully executing on tactical objectives Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Bachelor's Degree with 8 year's work experience in Operations / Supply Chain
* Proposal experience with a focus on cost competitive proposals
* Understanding of Lean and Six-Sigma principles
* Proficiency in office technologies including Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word.
* Proficiency with continuous process improvement methodologies and tool; strong group facilitation skills Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
