Our excellent client is seeking a Senior Program Manager for a 5 months+ hybrid W2 contract role in Boston, MA.

Providing program management, stakeholder management and oversight for a complex initiative involving multiple projects aimed at migrating project management capabilities away from the Smartsheet platform to new streamlined capabilities in MS Project, MS Planner and Clarity PPM.

Ensure that projects are aligned with business goals, timelines, and budgets.

Define program objectives, scope, and deliverables, and create detailed roadmaps for successful implementation.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment of program goals and progress.

Coordinate with various teams, including product management, engineering, operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless integration and execution of program activities.

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to program success, proactively addressing issues that may impact timelines, scope, or quality.

Ensure proper allocation of resources: personnel, budget, and tools, to support program execution.

Establish and maintain program governance processes, including regular status reporting, steering committees, and escalation procedures.

Track and report on program performance, including progress against milestones, budget adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Adjust plans as needed to meet evolving business requirements.

Lead organizational change management initiatives associated with program implementations, ensuring successful adoption by all stakeholders.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes.

Experience:

8+ years of experience in program or project management, with a focus on large-scale, cross-functional programs.

Proven experience standing up and leading large programs in fast-paced, dynamic environments, ideally within technology, finance, or other complex industries.

Experience with financial management, including budgeting and cost tracking.

Experience with change management processes and methodologies.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in project and program management tools, especially Microsoft Project (desktop & web), Microsoft Planner & Jira

Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies

Awareness of / familiarity with the Smartsheet and Clarity PPM platforms

Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or similar program management certification is preferred.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority.

Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
