Trane Technologies Accelerated Development Programs (ADPs) provide recent college graduates with challenging assignments, leadership training and valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders. Through rotations and experiences in multiple geographic and business locations, you will be able to build diverse skill sets and a strong foundation for a successful and fulfilling career with Trane Technologies. These assignments are strategically chosen to ensure your continuous learning and personal development.

ADP participants will build a strong foundation in operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They will develop capabilities in lean production, process improvement, planning and execution, problem-solving, quality engineering, ergonomics & safety, and materials. Additionally, ADPs will grow in the areas of SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning), production line supervision, productivity tracking, quality, manufacturing engineering, and driving operational success. Assignments are strategically selected to support continuous learning, broaden functional expertise, and accelerate personal and professional development.

What you will do:
Our Accelerated Development Program in Operations consists of four mandatory rotations (with an optional fifth rotation), each six months in length:

  • Operational Excellence (OpEx): Focus on continuous improvement, value stream mapping, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Materials: Focus on production planning, inventory optimization, planning systems, and logistics.
  • Quality: Focus on process capability, supplier quality, and data-driven root cause analysis to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Plant Leadership/ Supervision: Direct supervisor experience managing operations, ergonomics, safety, and productivity on the manufacturing floor.

Rotations are based in selected manufacturing plants in the United States. Plant locations are selected in a manner that addresses business needs while also providing the best developmental experiences for participants.

The program will include two physical moves. Relocation assistance is provided for rotations where the distance to the new work location is at least 50 miles.

What you will bring:

Function specific responsibilities will vary based on the assignment. A successful candidate for the Accelerated Development Program will exhibit the following:

  • BS/BA in any Engineering discipline, Business with Supply Chain emphasis, or Supply Chain with an overall GPA at or above 3.0, completed prior to ADP start date.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills: minimum of two examples such as: School club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership of work projects.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of one degree-related internship or six months of related work experience
  • Views problems as opportunities and can adapt quickly to new or changing business circumstances.
  • Eagerly and proactively seek new information, skills, and experiences, capitalizing on learning opportunities.
  • Works effectively with others to coordinate efforts and produce results in a positive work environment.
  • Motivated to leverage key learnings and experiences to grow your own career while contributing to the growth of Trane Technologies.
  • Proficient in problem-solving skills, with the ability to define and identify the underlying causes of complex operational issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically evaluate alternative options and make informed decisions to achieve specific objectives or goals.
  • Remain geographically flexible both during and after completion of the program.
  • U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
