Job Summary
The Program Supervisor supervises and maintains the residential milieu. This is a responsible supervisory position. The unique job functions outlined are designed with a focus on safety and quality. This position reports to the Program Director.
  • Assists in the implementation and follow through of the treatment plans.
  • Assures that treatment plan protocol is adhered to especially as it relates to special treatment procedures.
  • Attend and oversees the shift processing meetings.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the unit as it relates to staff.
  • Reports unusual situations which may occur on the unit to the Program Director and or Director of Residential Operations.
  • Assure us that the unit is clean and orderly and that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Supervises staff and resident activities on and off the unit
  • Supervises accurate documentation of incident reports.

Essential Management Functions
  • Monitors performance of staff supervised and responsible for the administration of their duties. Provides prompt and objective coaching and counseling. Assures timely performance appraisals of staff supervised.
  • Oversee the duties and essential functions of the Team Leaders.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs other related tasks as may be assigned such as administer medication.
  • Participates in staff development and in-service training activities to increase his/her job knowledge.

  • Demonstrates ability to establish credibility and be decisive.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, management, referral source, and the general public.
  • Demonstrates satisfactory communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of children and adolescent developmental issues.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and insists upon the rights of children and adolescents as residents in this facility.
  • Must have proven ability to relate to and work with children and/or adolescents.

Organizational Relationships
  • This position is accountable to the Program Director.
  • This position supervises and trains the Lead Residential Counselors and Residential Counselors.

  • Qualifications
  • 1. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field with experience in behavioral healthcare.
  • 2. Must demonstrate leadership abilities.
  • 3. Must be at least 21 years old.
