Production Operator โ€“ Coat Department (8 Openings)

Uniroyal Engineered Products is a leading manufacturer of vinyl coated fabrics that are durable, stain-resistant, cost-effective alternatives to leather, cloth, and other synthetic fabric coverings. The company manufactures automotive, specialty, and Naugahydeยฎ brand products at its manufacturing facility in Stoughton, Wisconsin.

Job Summary

Uniroyal Engineered Products is currently hiring eight Production Operators for our Coat Department. Opportunities are available in Coating Machine Operations, Compounding, and Paper Reconditioning/Slitter Operations.

Production Operators are responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. Successful candidates will receive training for their assigned area and must be able to work independently, follow established procedures, and make routine operational decisions.

Essential Responsibilities

โ€ข Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
โ€ข Follow work instructions, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
โ€ข Perform quality inspections and document production information.
โ€ข Make routine machine adjustments as needed.
โ€ข Assist with material handling and production support activities.
โ€ข Maintain clean and organized work areas.
โ€ข Communicate equipment, quality, and safety concerns to supervision.
โ€ข Support continuous improvement initiatives and production objectives.

Qualifications

โ€ข Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
โ€ข Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
โ€ข Basic math skills including averages, percentages, proportions, and measurements.
โ€ข Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
โ€ข Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
โ€ข Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
โ€ข Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.

Schedule

Tuesday through Friday โ€“ Four 10-hour shifts (40 hours per week)

Opportunities for overtime are available and overtime may be required based on business needs.
