Overview

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for the removal of product lines while ensuring proper rotation is always maintained.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in receiving/shipping raw materials from carrier as needed;
  • Perform unloading and moving raw materials away by forklift or hand jack;
  • Perform hand stacking and hand loading product as needed;
  • Restock supplies for production department by staging and picking ingredients as need arise for production and using work orders to stage products ahead of time to help set up for following shift;
  • Inspect Warehouse equipment for safety before use;
  • Clean, and organize freezer, cooler and warehouse;
  • Use scanner and computer to track products and update inventory, while always following First in First Out (FIFO) guidelines;
  • Load finished products onto trucks as needed;
  • Responsible for monitoring and following all food safety and quality procedures outlined in SQF and QCCP requirements;
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices;
  • Perform other required tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma required;
  • Must be able to drive stand-up Forklift equipment and operate hand jack;
  • Must be able to work with little supervision;
  • Must have strong hand/eye coordination;
  • Must have strong planning and organizing skills;
  • Must be good with numbers;
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment for minimum of 3 months;
  • Must be able to lift boxes or buckets weighing 10 lbs. to 65 lbs. off shelves 6" to 48" high and place them on a 6" pallet or into a tub;
  • Exhibit a positive attitude within a team environment.
