Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Person in Charge assists in the overall operation of the ERC Pool. All final candidates must consent to a criminal background check. Swimming Pool Supervisor on Duty positions must successfully pass a drug screening.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK

The listed examples of work are not intended to be all-inclusive. They establish a flexible, functional base from which the person operates. They may also be modified with additions; deletions or changes required obtaining organizational goals and objectives.

  • Schedules staff for in-service training and assists with scheduling of other staff positions.
  • Assists in the operation and organization of special events.
  • Assists the Department Managers in the safe operation of the facility.
  • Assures a clean safe environment.
  • Assures the proper daily opening and closing of the facility.
  • Oversees training of facility staff.
  • Works closely with the Aquatic Supervisor on the coordination of groups, rentals and birthday parties, and swim lessons.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and run monthly in-service training.

PREPARATION AND TRAINING

The Person in Charge must have worked a minimum of 1 year in the department he/she has applied for or equivalent at another aquatic facility and has reached the age of 18 years old. The person must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a willingness to perform general maintenance duties. A combination of education and / or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for excellent job performance. Must process Ellis & Associates ILTP License, preferably Ellis & Associates ILTP Instructor License for the Pool SOD positions.
