Role Overview

The Director of Laboratory provides strategic and operational leadership for the clinical laboratory, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely diagnostic testing and services. This role oversees staff, budgets, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and collaboration with medical and administrative leadership to support excellent patient care and organizational goals.

Compensation

USD- $91,986- $ 124,173

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all laboratory operations, including technical and support staff.

  • Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards.

  • Oversee test menu, instrumentation, and workflow to optimize efficiency and turnaround times.

  • Manage departmental budget, staffing plans, and resource utilization.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of laboratory staff.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other departments to support clinical needs.

  • Monitor quality indicators, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-Haves
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
