The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading all plant-level supply chain operations, including procurement execution, production scheduling, receiving, warehousing, and shipping. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role ensures the consistent flow of raw materials into the plant and finished goods to customers while driving inventory accuracy, service levels, and operational efficiency. The Supply Chain Manager serves as the key connection between the plant and Corporate Supply Chain teams, including Procurement, Demand Planning, Distribution, Customer Service, and Logistics. This role is responsible for aligning daily plant execution with broader enterprise supply chain strategies and business needs. This position requires a hands-on, results-driven leader with strong analytical skills, sound operational judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

Supply Chain Leadership

  • Leads plant-level supply chain functions, including receiving, shipping, production scheduling, inventory management, and plant procurement.
  • Develops and executes supply chain strategies that support safety, customer service, on-time delivery, cost, inventory, working capital, and operational performance objectives.
  • Builds strong partnerships across plant and corporate functions to align daily execution with business needs.
  • Makes data-driven decisions while maintaining the agility needed to respond to changing operational priorities.
  • Builds, coaches, and develops a high-performing supply chain team through clear expectations, performance management, and measurable results.
  • Champions continuous improvement, operational excellence, accountability, collaboration, and team engagement.

Production Planning and Scheduling

  • Coordinates schedule changes resulting from demand fluctuations, equipment downtime, or raw material constraints.
  • Develops and maintains finite production schedules that maximize manufacturing efficiency, improve schedule attainment, and meet customer demand.
  • Balances labor, equipment capacity, inventory levels, raw material availability, and service requirements to optimize plant performance and support OEE.

Procurement and Materials Management

  • Executes plant-level procurement activities in partnership with Corporate Procurement.
  • Ensures timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and operating supplies to support production schedules.
  • Monitors supplier performance, raw material availability, and inventory levels to support production schedules and minimize service risks.
  • Manages inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and working capital while supporting targeted service levels.

Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping

  • Directs receiving operations to ensure accurate and timely receipt of materials.
  • Oversees warehousing and shipping operations to support warehouse productivity, shipping accuracy, customer delivery commitments, and transportation schedules.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy through disciplined warehouse processes, inventory controls, and cycle counting.
  • Drives continuous improvement in warehouse efficiency, material flow, storage utilization, freight and logistics cost, and overall supply chain execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partners closely with Corporate Procurement on sourcing strategies, supplier issues, and material availability.
  • Collaborates with Demand Planning to align production schedules with customer forecasts and demand changes.
  • Coordinates with Distribution and Logistics teams to optimize finished goods flow and transportation execution.
  • Works closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Service to resolve supply chain issues and improve overall business performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies and implements process improvements that reduce cost, improve service, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Utilizes Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies to eliminate waste throughout the supply chain.
  • Analyzes key performance indicators, identifies trends or gaps, and implements corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Supports capital projects and new product introductions from a supply chain perspective.

UCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
  • Five+ years of progressive supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience leading one or more supply chain functions, such as production scheduling, warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, procurement, or materials management.
