Job description

Controlled Contamination Services has been a national provider of facility solutions, technical and decontamination services, since 1993. Our clients are in the Life Sciences, Technology, IT, Defense and Aerospace industries. Utilizing state of the art strategies, processes and human capital, Controlled ensures the highest degree of service and integrity for the sensitive environment we support; impacting those industries that impact the world.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Operations Manager I role oversees the day-to-day cleaning operations of specific customer account or locations. The role is responsible for managing, defining, coordinating, facilitating projects, and ensuring the success of the assigned accounts and regional operations.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Supervise, plan and coordinate customer cleaning operations.
  • Continually monitor cleaning operations to ensure all activities are completed promptly and correctly.
  • Responsible for staff development in areas such as training, technical skills, safety, and performance management.
  • Plan, organize and lead projects to improve efficiency and productivity and implement best practices in business management.
  • Identify and resolve issues.
  • Identify the technical, procedural and equipment issues that hinder cleaning performance.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices where applicable
  • Ensure that there is a minimum inventory level of standard stock materials.
  • Ensures accurate time/attendance recording and labor law compliance
  • All other duties as defined by your supervisor

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • 1-3 years of experience in one of these areas: facilities, production, manufacturing, janitorial, cleaning, hospitality, or related field
  • Experience managing an hourly labor force
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills, adhering to all regulations
  • Demonstrated problem solving/issue resolution skills
  • Proven ability to adhere to all policy and conduct standards and embraces the culture of CCS
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities:
  • Operate a motor vehicle
  • Stand - Walk - Lift - Climb - Talk - Hear
  • Use hands to finger, handle or feel - Reach with hands or arms
  • The Weight or Force requirement in this position is: Up to 30 pounds
