Scope of the role:

The Master Data Operations Supervisor leads a team responsible for maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant master data in SAP and related systems. This role combines frontline people leadership with hands-on contribution, ensuring stable daily operations.

Operating within established procedures, the Supervisor ensures high-quality execution of master data processes, resolves day-to-day issues, and escalates exceptions as needed. This role is critical to enabling effective planning, procurement, manufacturing, and financial processes through reliable system data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily team operations by directing Data Specialists, balancing workloads, monitoring queues/logs/reporting, adjusting priorities, and ensuring service levels, accuracy, and turnaround targets are met.

  • Provide coaching and issue support by training new team members and users, resolving routine delays or issues, and escalating more complex risks when needed.

  • Oversee hands-on master data execution including materials, BOMs, routings, related records, new part setup, and complex requests while ensuring readiness for downstream processes.

  • Maintain data standards and governance by ensuring updates follow established procedures, naming conventions, internal controls, and Data Office governance requirements.

  • Drive data quality and compliance through audits, reports, routine checks, deviation resolution, issue identification, escalation of systemic concerns, and audit readiness support.

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with planning, procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and finance while guiding stakeholders on data standards, supporting onboarding, and maintaining alignment across teams.

  • Support SAP S/4HANA implementation through data readiness, testing, validation, process standardization, adoption of new capabilities, and partnership with transformation teams for smooth stabilization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3-5 years plus in Master Data Governance, or Supply Chain ERP relevant experience

  • Experience working in ERP systems, preferably SAP or SAP S/4HANA

  • Experience managing or leading work in a transactional master data environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

  • Ability to manage work in a structured, SLA-driven environment

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across functions

  • Continuous improvement mindset and problem-solving capability

The range for this position is $82,679.00 - $113,684.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
