ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provides day-to-day work direction for direct report(s), focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.ย 

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Understands leadership approaches and has practical knowledge of Operations (Quality/Production Control/Manufacturing/Test/Engineering).

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provides input on hiring, termination, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisions for direct report(s).ย Reports to Assoc. Manager or higher.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Communicate with parties inside and outside of own team to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures for the area of responsibility.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Adjusts procedures and processes. Plans and establish operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Makes adjustments in procedures and processes to solve problems.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Identifies, defines, and addresses general problems that are typically within the immediate job area or team.ย 

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assigns tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  May manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., costs associated with maintaining area supplies and overtime of staff).

Qualifications:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience.ย  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:ย 

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Understands supervisory approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Applicable manufacturing or engineering experience preferred.
