Our client - one of the transit agency seeks an accomplished DevOps Architect Job Description Role: - DevOps Architect Location: - Miami, FL Duration: - 24 months (with a high possibility of extension) Job Responsibilities: Design and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to support Bid & Proposal efforts and on-going operations. DevOps leadership and IT Operations transformation experience with 80% packaged systems, 20% custom systems Experience with technical planning, deployment, integration, test/validation, and configuration of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS), and custom software in both the Linux and Windows operating environments. Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment (AWS, Azure, VMware, etc.). Lead technical solution development for Bid & Proposal efforts. Create technical estimates to support Bid & Proposal efforts. Support the development of reusable solutions for software intensive work efforts. Job Requirements: Minimum of 3 to 5 years design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns. Minimum of 3 to 5 years managing an IT Operations environment Minimum of 3 to 5 years' hands on experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Get, Chef, Ensile, Art factory, Service Now, Sonar, Selenium Minimum of 5 years of experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery and release of software Minimum of 5 years' experience with managing teams including progress monitoring and reporting Minimum of 5 year of experience working in an Agile delivery environment Minimum of 5 year of experience with Linux (writing shell scripts) Minimum of 3 years' experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Java, Perl, Ruby, or Python Preferred Skills 5 years of DevOps leadership and transformation experience Environment Monitoring tools Candidate should have experience leading a multi-disciplinary teams, working in a fast paced, high velocity agile environment Approaches and tooling for automated software assurance and QA. The use of Public/Private cloud and Virtualization Technologies Experience with project or program management Defining and managing the roadmap for implementation of DevOps in an established operation. Working within a structured environment, including the use of structured methods and approaches and modern development tools. Experience of technical architecture – i.e. the design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients Service support – the use of DevOps, Continuous Delivery and ITIL concepts to lead an effective support operation In-depth knowledge of technology trends and standards, both from a business and technical viewpoints.
