Job description

Turner Staffing Group is seeking Project-Based Geologists to support our client's mining operations. This opportunity is well suited for geologists with hands-on experience in geologic mapping, core logging, sampling, and geological data management.
The Geologist will support day-to-day geology activities, including ore routing and tracking, geological mapping, sampling, data entry and validation, and core and RC chip logging. Additional duties may be assigned based on operational needs.
Responsibilities
  • Perform ore routing and tracking activities.
  • Conduct geological mapping and sampling.
  • Complete core logging and RC chip logging.
  • Enter, review, and validate geological data.
  • Maintain accurate and organized geological records.
  • Support site geology activities and work under the direction of a Senior Geologist.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on operational requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Geology required.
  • Previous geological mapping experience required.
  • Previous core logging experience required.
  • Previous data entry experience required.
  • Experience with databases, mapping software, and 3D modeling software is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively within the assigned rotational schedule and in a site-based geology environment.

Project Details
  • Project Duration: Approximately 1 year with possibility of direct hire.
  • Schedule: 8/6, 4/3 rotation.

Work Authorization
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
