Job description

Ameron is a leader in the manufacture of poles for street lighting and traffic control. Our extensive line of Ameronโ„ข brand products can be used in residential areas and commercial developments, including streets, highways, shopping centers and pedestrian pathways. From industrial to DOT to municipal, we have just the right pole. We are seeking a motivated sophomore or junior-level engineering student to join our Product Engineering team for the summer. This role will focus on improving and standardizing production drawings while gaining hands-on experience working alongside design engineers in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with updating and validating Bills of Material (BOMs) within our ERP/MRP system (JEE)
  • Support BOM uploads and data cleanup efforts for active projects
  • Work with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate material and routing data
  • Assist in developing and refining 3D models for traffic structure products
  • Help identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and workflow efficiency
  • Support CI initiatives focused on standardization and process improvement
