Job description

NXP's Technology & Operations organization plays an essential role in the company's success by ensuring the delivery of high quality, scalable, cost-competitive technologies and supply to create a competitive advantage for our customers.
Primary Location: Full time, 12 weeks, on site at Austin Technology and Manufacturing Center (ATMC), 3501 Ed Bluestein, Austin, TX
Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive a specific project within the Equipment Engineering team, appropriate in time (less than 3 months generally), scope, and technical knowledge (engineering skill needed, but minimal semiconductor expertise) to an intern
  • Learn about the semiconductors and maintenance generally, the fab way of work, and the Equipment Engineering role
  • Report out at the end to senior management about the results of the project, benefit to NXP, and what was learned

Job Qualifications:
  • The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred
  • Prefer Dec 2027 and May 2028 graduation dates
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in electromechanical system construction, repair, and/or maintenance
