Job description

The mission of the Branch Manager is to oversee the successful execution of all maintenance and corrective activities inside the branch. Reporting to the District Manager, the Operations Branch Manager will work to maximize productivity, quality, and profitability to support the CEO's vision for future growth of the company.

Location: Auburn, GA

Pay range: $85,000 - $95,000

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership position focused on productivity
  • Ability and willingness to travel weekly to biweekly as business needs require
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relationship building, strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, people and company owned assets
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Effective communicator in writing and speaking
  • Previous work experience illustrating a strong work ethic, an ability to work well in a team environment, independent thought and critical thinking, business acumen, and an internal motivation to succeed

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Directly manage local Operations Managers - assign special projects, define responsibilities, resolve issues/conflicts, hold managers accountable for the performance and success of their assigned area of responsibility
  • Account Service: Ensure efficient scheduling, staffing, and completion of routine maintenance, mowing, and inspection services for all accounts, every month, in accordance with service Manage and schedule backlog for all corrective repairs crews
  • Job Performance: Ensure efficient and profitable completion of projects based on scope sold by Client Service Managers. Assist with estimating and approach for large projects and new service types
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of quality by means of sufficient training, proper staffing, accountability and ownership of responsibilities at the branch level. Maintain constant communication with Regional Sales Manager to meet and exceed client expectations
  • Safety: Promote a safe work environment for all employees, implement safe work practices
  • Profitability: Work with an eye toward improving gross margins of maintenance and corrective projects. Identify issues with project estimating to ensure jobs are sold at a profitable margin and have a comprehensible scope of work
  • Efficiency: Reduce wasted time and maximize production on job sites. Provide guidance to direct reports on day-to-day scheduling and efficient use of time. Review time sheets and address excessive non-job time
  • Improvement of Existing Processes: Identify opportunities for improvement, make recommendations and assist in development of processes, policies and programs
  • Operations Planning: Forecast future labor, vehicle and equipment needs to keep the branch fully staffed and able to execute fieldwork in a timely and efficient manner. Build in redundancy through strategic overstaffing to enable growth and account for attrition.
  • Operational Execution: Create and utilize metrics, dashboards, and key performance indicators to drive optimal performance
  • End of Month: Complete End of Month checklist to allow for an accurate and timely financial close, and as a final check for accuracy of the previous month's tasks (work ticket management, purchasing accuracy, inventory reconciliation, etc)
  • Leadership: Provide support and guidance as needed for the maintenance team, corrective team, CSMs, estimators, accounting and executive Collaborate with other branches to ensure timely execution and company success
