Job Description

We are seeking a Director Automation - North America to lead and scale operations across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. This role is responsible for translating strategy into execution, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering profitable growth.

You will lead Project Management, Project Execution, and Account Management, partnering closely with commercial teams to deliver strong customer outcomes, grow existing accounts (farming), and drive sustainable business expansion.

What You Will Do

Lead Regional Operations

  • Define and execute the North America operations strategy
  • Ensure consistent performance and scalability across the region
  • Translate orders into profitable, high-quality delivery
  • Identify and drive growth opportunities within existing accounts

Own Performance & Execution

  • Deliver revenue, margin, utilization, quality, and customer satisfaction targets
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution (on time, on budget, high quality)
  • Optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency
  • Enable repeat business through strong delivery and customer trust

Partner with Commercial (GTM)

  • Support proposals with technical and cost expertise
  • Drive alignment between operations and sales using ABM
  • Actively contribute to farming and account development

Lead & Develop Teams

  • Lead heads of Project Management, Account Management, and Execution
  • Build a performance-driven, customer-focused culture
  • Drive engagement in Centers of Excellence (CoEs)

Drive Excellence & Ways of Working

  • Improve processes, systems, and execution performance
  • Ensure adoption of ABM methodologies
  • Promote a strong safety culture (EHS)

  • Revenue & margin growth ("as delivered")
  • High utilization and strong delivery performance
  • Improved customer satisfaction / NPS
  • Increased CoE participation
  • Growth within existing accounts (farming)
Additional Information
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in operations/automation
  • Strong track record in multi-country operations (North America preferred)
  • Expertise in operations, project delivery, and strategy execution
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid commercial acumen and experience growing customer accounts
  • ABM experience is a plus
