Night Auditor Position

Join our team as a Night Auditor at La Serena Villas!

Are you detail-oriented and skilled at managing operations during the overnight shift? We're seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to ensure smooth hotel operations and exceptional guest service overnight, generally 11pm to 7am. In this role, you will be responsible for independently handling audit work, managing front desk operations, and ensuring security and accuracy.

Hourly Pay: $22

Your Role:

As a Night Auditor, you will oversee the hotel's operations during the overnight shift, handling audit tasks, front desk responsibilities, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Your mission is to maintain accuracy in all transactions, manage nightly procedures, and provide excellent service. Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures and run all reports as required for audit completion.
  • Balance the day's work (i.e., movie revenue, telephone postings, valet, laundry, server and desk agent's paperwork, etc.).
  • Maintain cashiering responsibilities.
  • Ensure public areas are clean, locked and secured.
  • Assist guests at the Front Desk with any check-ins, check-outs, or inquiries.
  • Follow safety and emergency procedures according to hotel standards.
  • Complete the initial direct bills daily and place on GM desk; Attach all folio/banquet check back-up to the bills.
  • Transfer the master or house accounts, as necessary.
  • Distribute work (i.e., revenue printouts, charge and paid folios, vouchers, and checks, etc.) as directed.
  • Deliver or assign delivery of Express Check-Out's.
  • Complete any miscellaneous duties as required (i.e., resetting Food and Beverage P.O.S. where necessary, distribution of credit "Watch List", and preparation of daily revenue summary).
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in hotel front desk operations.
  • Previous Supervisory responsibility or Night Auditor experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 2 to 4-year college degree helpful.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles & proficiency with Windows operating systems
  • Ability to work independently and handle problem-solving and emergency situations effectively.
