Job description

Frontier Cooperative is seeking an Operations Associate to work at our Elmwood, NE location.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following: loading/unloading grain & agronomy products, monitoring & ensuring high quality conditions in bins, general maintenance of grounds & grain facilities. Other duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Operating various types of farm equipment and machinery.
  • Assists in delivery products such as fertilizer, chemicals and seed to customers.
  • Inventory management for grain & agronomy products
  • Monitors & keeps supervisor apprised of inventory levels & maintains high quality grain in bins.
  • Assists with scale operations, when needed.
  • Performs general maintenance of buildings, equipment and vehicles, including completing necessary documentation.

Skills needed to be successful include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • The ability to think clearly, take initiative, & problem-solve.
  • The desire to be involved in agriculture and work for a cooperative.
  • Physically able to climb in and out of a truck, climb to heights on ladders in the grain bins/elevators, open/close trailer hoppers frequently. .
  • This position requires you to lift 50 pounds to 100 pounds, on occasion.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain at least a Class B Commercial License with Tank/Hazmat endorsements. FC will provide the necessary ELDT Theory & Behind the Wheel training required for you to obtain your CDL License.
