General Summary

Involved in a wide range of duties including responsibilities associate with daily Deposit Operations tasks. Handles inquiries and issues raised by both internal staff and customers.

Reports To: AVP Deposit Operations Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers by answering inquiries and solving problems related to bank accounts, data processing, and image retrieval.
  • Handling daily tasks including but not limited to review of holds, stop payments and wires, monitoring returned mail, processing garnishments and levy requests, entries and reconcilements.
  • Assist other Operations staff by performing delegated tasks and necessary back-up and overflow coverage.
  • Make appropriate recommendations for procedural changes to help achieve efficiencies and to stay current and consistent with new regulations, policies, procedures, and audits.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position. Complete all required reports related to those acts and reports any observed violations or potential violations of those acts to a supervisor or other appropriate bank officer.
  • Be familiar with and comply with all federal and state banking regulations as applicable.

Qualifications

Experience and/or Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous banking experience, preferably in retail and operations.
  • Familiarity with Bank products, regulations, and internal operations. Strong interpersonal skills to resolve complex problems effectively with customers and employees.
