Job Description:

This recruitment will be used to fill ten (10) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) SEE Operations Associate for the Student Experiences and Engagement (SEE) departments at Oregon State University (OSU).

Operations Associateswork to deepenstudent connectionbyproviding peer-to-peer navigationand through supporting Student Experiences and Engagement(SEE)departmentsin general administration.This positionassiststhe Operations department inexecution andadministration oftasksrelated tobusiness processes like student employment, inventory management, andotherprojectsasassigned.

The Undergraduate Student Clerical Worker performs general office work such as typing, copying, filing, sorting, indexing, reception duties, and accounting tasks.

Position Duties:

  • Staff the Student Experience Center (SEC) main desk(s) to foster an inviting and helpful environment for all. Including supporting those using SEC resources, students wanting to deepen their engagement, and visitors to the center.

  • Provide office support aligned with university and department policy through things like responding to reach outs in a timely manner across multiple modes, providing general administrative support to SEE professional staff, space scheduling, document storage and upkeep, and inventory management.

  • Provide direct peer-to-peer support in navigating being a student, making appropriate referrals and connections to resources as needed. Help students deepen their experience at OSU through community, interpersonal, and work-related skill building.

  • Manage day-to-day aspects of business operations processes including tracking and updating student staff hiring, staff management needs, and preparing purchases.

  • Support and execute project work as assigned by professional staff or leads. Changes regularly. May include data and assessment, developing educational materials, or other projects aligned with unit goals and emergent department needs.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the Operations team as well as university/college departments, faculty, staff, and administrators.

  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study

  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment

    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program

    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term

    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*

    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term

    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*


*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by theOffice of International Services(OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Working Conditions/Schedule:This part-time position will be assigned to work an average of 8-17 hours per week during the fall, winter, and spring terms. Additional hours may be available during non-academic times. Work typically takes place in person, indoors in an office environment. May require standing or sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting.Salary Range:Anticipated Start Date:2026-08-17Anticipated End Date:
