Job description


Full-time onsite:
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full- time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
We are currently accepting applicants to support our production needs. The Operations Associate II positions are covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
Union Pay Rate: $23.00 hr. with a $1.00 hr. raise after first 6 months of employment. A night shift differential of $1.10 an hour for worked performed on 2nd and 3rd shift. An excellent low-cost benefit package is offered along with a tuition reimbursement program and 401k. Must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift at any time. Shifts are subject to change based on seniority.

Position Criteria
Operations Associate position is an hourly non-exempt position. Employees are represented by a labor union and subject to the collective bargaining agreement.
Work schedules are subject to change at any time. Candidate must have the ability to work any shift including 2nd or 3rd shift.
BAE is subject to FAA regulations; All employees will successfully complete a background investigation and drug screening, as defined by federal regulations. During employment, employees are subject to random drug testing as required by FAA regulation. The position can include long periods of standing, sitting, using a microscope and soldering iron.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Follow detailed written instructions, procedures, and documentation.
  • Use microscope to perform assembly procedures/inspections.
  • Use soldering equipment for detailed hand soldering and assemblies.
  • Perform tasks that require manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination such as handling small objects, assembling/rewiring components or troubleshooting finished products.
  • Follow verbal instructions, maintain positive attitude and demonstrate willingness to learn.
  • Read and use a ruler, gauges and fixtures.
  • Use and identify a variety of hand tools.

Working Conditions:
Job may require extended periods of standing and / or sitting and repetitive motion
May work with and around hazardous chemicals - i.e. conformal coats, paint, bonding material
Appropriate PPE must be worn where posted and required

Required Skills and Education

  • 1+ year experience reading technical documents
