Position Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for performing the necessary job tasks and activities assigned to process the flow of goods through the Distribution Centre. These processes are varied and will include, but are not limited to: receiving of goods; unloading of trucks, trailers and containers; palletizing of inbound and outbound goods; outbound order picking and processing; order packing and processing; lift truck, stock picker and floor sweeper operation (dependent on tasks assigned); and loading of products as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each process. Key Responsibilities: • Safely operate various types of material handling equipment (i.e., Walkie Rider, Forklift, MHE, Reach, Center Rider) in order to complete tasks, such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting product • Work collaboratively with the Operations Managers, area coordinators and other associates to effectively complete assigned tasks • Deliver outstanding customer service to internal distribution teams and to our stores by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner • Maintain orderly condition and housekeeping of your assigned work area • Key responsibility may vary based on location Competencies: • Customer Focus • Drives Purpose and Vision • Drives Results Skills: • Interpersonal skills • Organizational skills • Problem-solving skills Direct Manager/Direct Reports: • Reports to Operations Manager (OM) or Assistant Manager (AM) depending on location Travel Requirements: • None Physical Requirements: • Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items • Able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds Working Conditions: • Working a set schedule • Warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy • Passing forklifts emit gas fumes • Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes Minimum Education: • High school Diploma or Equivalent Minimum Years of Work Experience: • 1 to 2 years of distribution centre experience an asset Minimum Leadership Experience: • N/A Certifications: • N/A Other Requirements/Assets: • Knowledge of operating forklifts is an asset.
