Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Director of Operations to serve as a key member of our Executive Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the President, this role is responsible for leading the operational performance of the organization while ensuring alignment with the Company's strategic goals and long-term vision.

The Director of Operations oversees the day-to-day operations of the business, providing leadership across multiple office locations while partnering with department leaders to improve efficiency, profitability, employee engagement, and client satisfaction. This individual will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, organizational growth, and continuous improvement throughout the Company.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the President to execute the Company's strategic vision and long-term business objectives.
  • Provide executive leadership for daily operations across all office locations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational strategies that improve efficiency, profitability, scalability, and service delivery.
  • Establish organizational goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and executive dashboards to measure business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating processes, workflows, and operational systems.
  • Provide guidance and management of Human Resources on employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, and organizational structure.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, operational planning, and resource allocation.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure consistency in policies, procedures, and operational standards across all office locations.
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions that improve operational effectiveness and business intelligence.
  • Support business development initiatives by ensuring organizational readiness and operational capacity, and collaborate with the Director of Employee Development.
  • Lead assigned organizational change initiatives while maintaining employee engagement and reinforcing Company culture.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration between departments, office locations, and executive leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the President on operational, organizational, and strategic matters.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience, including executive-level operational management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing operations for a 50+ employee organization.
  • Proven success overseeing multiple office locations and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong background in business operations, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.
  • Experience partnering with or managing Human Resources on employee relations, compliance, and talent management.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational metrics.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience within the engineering, architecture, construction, or professional services industry is a plus.
