Job Description

Are you an ambitious student looking to apply your analytical and business knowledge in a dynamic corporate environment? Pilot Company is seeking an Enterprise Risk Management Intern to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2027. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in enterprise risk management, making a meaningful impact by supporting initiatives that strengthen organizational resiliency, compliance and risk awareness while being mentored by our experienced staff. 

In this role, you will be an integral part of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. Your key responsibility will be to support efforts that help facilitate a risk-aware culture and promote efficient, sound decision-making across the organization. As a highly cross-functional department, ERM provides a holistic review and assessment of risk across the enterprise. This internship is not only an opportunity to learn the practical application of risk management principles but also a chance to grow within a supportive team that is dedicated to developing its people. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Assist with enterprise risk management initiatives: You'll support efforts to identify, assess and monitor risks across the organization while helping promote a strong risk-aware culture 

  • Support resiliency planning: You'll contribute to business continuity planning, crisis management, disaster recovery, and resiliency initiatives, including the development of playbooks, procedures and response plans 

  • Analyze and report data: You'll work with dashboards and reporting tools to help monitor key risk indicators and provide insights that support decision-making across the enterprise 

  • Enhance team processes: Your work and fresh perspective will contribute to ongoing improvements in policy compliance management, reporting processes and overall risk management practices 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For 

  • Education: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Business Management or a related field 

  • Technical Skills: Experience with Power BI, Tableau, dashboard reporting or other data visualization and reporting tools is essential 

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively across teams. We're looking for someone with leadership potential, strong team-building abilities and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment 

  • Qualities: We value individuals who are driven, reliable, authentic and welcoming
