The Service Advisor is at the heart of our success, bridging customer needs with technical expertise to deliver outstanding service. In this dynamic role, you'll guide customers through recommended repairs and services tailored to their goals and needs, while providing top-tier administrative support and a seamless customer experience. With a focus on service excellence, operational coordination, and building trust, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and satisfied customers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Performance: Consistently achieve high close ratios, average revenue per repair order (ARO), and customer pay-to-wage ratio. You'll be expected to meet monthly gross profit goals ranging from 50 to 100 GP, based on store size and experience, while maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) such as gross profit per hour, ARO, and customer satisfaction scores (CSI). ARO goals are set at a minimum of $750 for European vehicles and $600 for Asian and Domestic vehicles.
  • Repair Order Management: Develop accurate estimates by factoring in materials, supplies, and labor, and calculate the customer's payment, including any deductibles. Maintain and document customer approvals. Verify warranty and service contract coverage, clearly explaining provisions and exclusions. Ensure timely and accurate parts ordering and verify payment methods, securing credit approvals or deposits when necessary.
  • Customer Service: Create a welcoming first impression by warmly greeting customers in person or by phone and gathering key vehicle details to ensure a seamless, personalized service experience. Guide customers through repair recommendations based on safety, immediate needs, and budget considerations, ensuring every recommendation aligns with their priorities.
  • Communication: Practice clear, professional, and proactive communication when explaining repair results, costs, and available options so customers feel informed and confident in their decisions. Maintain frequent communication with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and provide customers with regular updates on timelines, costs, and any changes.
  • Technology: Utilize Tekmetric, point-of-sale systems, financing platforms, parts ordering websites, and other software to efficiently check customers in and out, manage financing, order parts, and provide accurate repair status updates.

Perform other duties as needed to support the company's vision, fulfill its mission, and uphold its core values.

$100,000-$150,000 annually

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automotive service advising or customer service, with knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair services.ย 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and sales skills with the ability to build trust and negotiate effectively.ย 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization.ย 
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs and automotive service software, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.ย 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.ย 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to work effectively with teams of varying sizes.ย 
  • Strong commitment to customer relationships, sales performance, and operational excellence.ย 
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to meet the company's insurance requirements.ย 
  • Physically capable of grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting items over 50 pounds, bending, reaching overhead, and standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours).ย 
  • Ability to maintain a fast-paced work rhythm throughout the workday.ย
