The DevOps Operation Engineer Associate is responsible for assisting with system engineering work supporting the application content infrastructure for the TRS Pension and Healthcare Line of Business applications. The incumbent will perform configuration of job and event automation, job schedule modification, escalation management, deployment support, and maintenance of the application environment. This position will work proactively with the DevOps team, IT staff, and agency employees.
The DevOps Operations Engineer is responsible for performing complex system engineering work supporting the application content infrastructure for the TRS Pension and Healthcare Line of Business applications. The incumbent will manage complex applications, Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions, and Enterprise job scheduling which includes job and event automation configuration, job schedule modification, escalation management, deployment support, and maintenance of the application environment. This position will proactively work with the DevOps team, IT staff, and agency employees.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
DevOps & Release Engineering(DevOps Operation Engineer Associate)
โ€ข Assist with providing infrastructure support with a focus in the area job of scheduling, workload automation, and managed file transfer (MFT) solutions, which includes GlobalScape Enterprise SFTP and Global ECS Job Scheduler technologies.
โ€ข Assists with deployment of applications to multiple environments using DevOps methodologies using automation and continuous integration / continuous deployment, primarily based on Windows PowerShell, Ansible, OpenShift and Jenkins.
โ€ข Assists with software provisioning, configuration management, integration validation and application deployment tools.
โ€ข Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves infrastructure problems related to job scheduling, workload automation, managed file transfers, SolarWinds, and Dynatrace technologies.
โ€ข Works with developers, DBAs, QA staff and others for continuous process improvements and high-quality deliveries on time.
โ€ข Assists with developing policies, procedures, and standards for installing, configuring, and supporting, job scheduling, workload automation, managed file transfers (SFTP) technologies.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING:
Required Education
โ€ข Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in software engineering, computer science, IT or a closely related field.
โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent and additional full-time experience in recent job scheduling, workload automation, and managed file transfer (MFT) solution administration experience, including one (1) year administering a Microsoft Windows server environment may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis.
Required Experience
โ€ข One (1) year of full-time experience in recent job scheduling, workload automation, and managed file transfer (MFT) solution administration experience, including one (1) year administering a Microsoft Windows server environment or related experience.(DevOps Operation Engineer Associate)
โ€ข Three (3) years of full-time directly related, progressively responsible experience in recent job scheduling, workload automation, and managed file transfer (MFT) solution administration experience, including one (1) year administering a Microsoft Windows server environment or related experience.(DevOps Operation Engineer)
โ€ข Experience may be concurrent.
โ€ข A master's degree or doctoral degree in a closely related field may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Experience in GlobalScape Enterprise SFTP and Global ECS Job Scheduler infrastructure design, development, and support.
โ€ข Experience in Windows and Linux infrastructure troubleshooting and support.
โ€ข Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows Server and DNS, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft PowerShell, OpenShift, F5 Web Application Firewall
โ€ข Experience with hardware and software monitoring and alert escalation tools and SolarWinds Monitoring suite.
โ€ข Experience with automation and DevOps tools including Ansible, Jenkins, and GitHub.
โ€ข Experience with Agile, ITIL methodologies and best practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
โ€ข The practices, principles, and techniques of job scheduling, workload automation, and managed file transfer (MFT) application stack using automation including web, middleware, and database technologies, along with monitoring and network operations.
