Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a company in Concord, New Hampshire. This Accounting Manager role is well suited for someone in finance who brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to guide day-to-day operations while supporting a collaborative team environment. The successful Accounting Manager candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, process oversight, and staff leadership, helping ensure accurate records and efficient accounting practices across the organization. This Accounting Manager will be a hands on role and manage a staff.


Responsibilities:

• Direct core accounting operations, including general ledger activity, journal entry review, accounts payable oversight, and account reconciliations.

• Lead and support a small accounting team, providing guidance, accountability, and day-to-day supervision for two team members.

• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with a high degree of accuracy and in alignment with applicable accounting standards.

• Manage payroll administration or develop proficiency in payroll processes to provide dependable operational support.

• Month end close activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Monitor month-end closing activities to help maintain timely reporting and reliable financial data.

• Partner with colleagues across the organization to keep accounting processes organized, responsive, and running smoothly.

• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in an accounting environment.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and general business management practices.

• Hands-on experience with accounting.

• Strong Excel skills with the ability to work effectively with detailed financial data and reporting tools.

• Proven ability to lead others, communicate clearly, and build productive working relationships across departments.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
