Job description

ISM is looking for a Saw Operator to join the manufacturing team. Ideally you will be able to read blueprints or technical drawings, set up the saw, and cut metal materials according to part specification instructions. You will be required to perform basic math and be able to accurately measure different lengths to ensure accurate sizing. You will identify defects and adjust accordingly. Ideally you will have previous manufacturing experience, but full training will be provided.
The ability to stand, bend and lift heavy objects is essential. Forklift experience is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
  • Set up and operate saw machine.
  • Cut metal material as instructed.
  • Identify defects.
  • Load, unload, and transport and move material as necessary.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand written English, including work instructions, blueprints and safety operating manuals.
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Previous experience using measuring tools and devices
  • Experience working with metals and/or in manufacturing.
