Job Overview:

The surgical technician will work alongside the perioperative registered nurse as part of a team to provide tailored, age-appropriate care to patients. This role involves maintaining a safe environment that promotes positive patient outcomes and ensuring that patients' physiological responses during surgery are monitored and managed effectively within the surgical suite and throughout the perioperative division.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in scrubbing for various service lines, including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make calls, demonstrate flexibility, multitask, and work independently
Certifications and Licenses Required:
  • Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) is mandatory
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association is required
Scheduling Requirements:
  • 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Availability for every other weekend and holidays
  • Full-time position
