Job Description:
Perioperative Supply Chain Technician - Operating Room
Who We Are:
Our operating room (OR) department is one of the largest and most active OR departments in the state, with an experienced staff providing comprehensive surgical care to our patients. We are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology and have dedicated teams of surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other medical personnel who work together to deliver outstanding care. Our OR staff is committed to providing the highest quality patient care in a safe and comfortable environment.
About the Job:
The Perioperative Supply Chain Technician works in conjunction with the Perioperative Supply Chain Coordinator to maintain and maximize supply chain efficiency in the surgical services setting.
What You'll Do:
  • Follows establishes metric based goals and tracking for inventory and financial performace to include inventory levels, inventory accuracy, stock outs, and other indicators of performance as needed
  • Represents the departmental interests on operational and supply committees and provide logistical expertise to the flow of supplies in and out of surgical services in alignment with clinical needs and geography
  • Tracks local vendor performance and compliance with the Reptrax system within surgical services
  • Maintains inventory for all supplies used in Operating Rooms and Sterile Core

Who You Are:
  • Has thorough knowledge of surgical supplies, equipment, surgical supply chain, and policies and procedures including supply distribution and materials handling systems
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of experience in surgical services preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
