Position Purpose:
At Saint Mary's Hospital, the Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients.
What You Will Do:
  • Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is required
  • Valid RN license in Connecticut
  • Ideal candidates will have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience.

Preferred:
  • Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross)
  • Familiarity with AORN standards

Important Consideration:
This position is open to RN candidates seeking training through the AORN Periop 101 program. Comprehensive onboarding and education will be provided to support a successful transition into the intraoperative nursing environment.
Position Highlights:
  • Full-Time: 32 hrs/week - Day Shift
