Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details
  • Hospital Operating Room setting
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Block scheduling is not guaranteed
  • On-call requirements to be discussed during interview
  • Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating will be rare
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements
  • Active TN or compact RN license (no pending licensure accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience with at least one prior travel assignment, or 3 years of recent OR experience
  • ADN degree required (BSN not required for this position)
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration
  • Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility — no exceptions
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are not eligible — at least one completed travel assignment is required
  • Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return
  • If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be worked
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO will not be approved if not listed at the time of consideration
  • Vaccination status documentation required
  • Any certifications expiring during the assignment should include a documented renewal plan
