Position Summary 

Provides environmental cleaning services. Responsible to maintain the facility in a sanitary, neat, attractive and safe condition at all times. Responsible to handle multiple needs and priorities as they arise while still maintaining the highest level of customer service.

    • Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

  • Sanitizes all surfaces of the facility using a germicidal cleaner, according to manufacturer specifications. Collects infectious and non-infectious waste in all areas in appropriate containers.
  • Performs discharge cleaning/detail cleaning of all areas. Performs dust mop and mopping all tile floors.
  • Cleans bathrooms.
  • Stocks supplies in areas, carts, and supply room.
  • Performs high dusting of ceiling vents and ledges over shoulder height.
  • Dusts horizontal ledges and surfaces below shoulder height.
  • Vacuums all carpeting and carpet edge, picks up trash and delivers linen/laundry.
  • Cleans spots off of walls and doors and/or reports maintenance issues timely.
  • Maintains accurate records including discharges, linen weight, isolation weight, pager sign-out sheets, cart sign-out sheets and Kronos corrections.
  • Maintains cart and chemical supplies in a safe, secured manner around patients and visitors.
  • Performs terminal cleans as necessary.
  • Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
