Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum of 1 year of operating room or surgical services nursing experience required
  • Experience as an OR circulator strongly preferred
  • Experience in orthopedics, neurology, or vascular surgery preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS and/or PALS may be required based on department needs
  • Ability to successfully complete any required skills assessment or testing
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of patient care and OR workflow
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the perioperative process
  • Prepare patients for surgery and support preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care
  • Circulate cases and assist the surgical team during procedures
  • Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in status
